Elana Millman

Elana Millman is not your average, grey sexpert but rather a vibrant, sparkling, urbanite with a variety of skills. She’s a writer, a holistic healer with over ten years experience, a hula hoop dance teacher and performer, an Aromatherapy educator, an insatiable traveller, a spiritual seeker, an avid foodie and digs base in her beats.

Elana started her writing career after university, when she worked as an International Journalist in Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. That experience, while being indulgent, exciting and eye-opening, inadvertently introduced her to the world of healing arts, when she started receiving regular Reflexology foot massages everywhere her job sent her, in order to help the with the stress and tension associated with travel. Upon her return, she launched into a new career adventure as she began training and working in Holistic Nutrition, Massage and Energy work and even studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Since then, she has successfully helped many clients restore their vitality and health through her care.

Additionally, Elana is hula hooper and hoop dance teacher. Hula hooping, the 1950’s craze that swept the nation, has reinvented itself as a form of modern dance. Elana danced throughout her life, first as a child in dance classes, then in dirty warehouse raves in the 1990’s and now continuing her passion in the hoop. Elana not only spins the hula hoop but also does fire hooping. Yes, fire hooping.

Always a devoted sensualist, Elana is also an Aromatherapist. Having been drawn to essential oils as a teen, she continues to find in essential oils a constant source of beauty, perfume and medicine for every single aspect of life. More of a medicinal Aromatherapist, Elana teaches her students how to use essential oils to heal, revive, and anoint for all facets of vibrant living, using the potent power of plants.

Elana is happiest cooking whole, healthy meals for her friends and family, hula hooping in the backyard, going for forest hikes with her dog, Bodhi, meditating under waterfalls and laughing until her face and body hurt.
